Interests: Family, Friends and Arsenal F.C.
Job Title: Head Professional/Director of Golf at Hever Castle Golf Club
Clubs: Mizuno
Favourite Course:
Hever is one of my favourites but a day at Sunningdale rates as one of the best golfing experiences anywhere in the world.
Hardest Course I Have Ever Played:
Kiawah Island in the USA. This former Ryder Cup course was amazingly tricky. I played it in 2004 and the course beat me up so 2 years later I went back to have another go… and it beat me up again!!
Golfing Heroes:
Nick Faldo, Seve Ballasteros and Tiger Woods. A British institution, an artist and a genius respectively.
Golfing Influences:
John Powell (my first boss) started my passion for the game and gave me my first job. I have no idea what I would be doing career-wise if I hadn’t met John, but I know it wouldn’t be as much fun.
George Will (former Ryder Cup player). Listening to George talk about the game and the golf swing made me want to learn more. I could never repay him for the knowledge he shared with me.
Best Golfing Tip:
Enjoy it! It’s the best game in the world. You can start aged 3 and play until you are 103 so have fun, keep learning and get the most out of the game.
Best Golfing Memories:
My two trips to watch the U.S. Masters at Augusta were amazing; every golfer should go there if they have the chance.
Winning the South Region Lombard Trophy Qualifier with my amateur partner and playing in the finals at San Lorenzo (Portugal) - we finished 4th overall.
Number Of Hole In Ones:
One at the second hole at Camberley Heath (Surrey)
Number Of Albatrosses:
One at the ninth hole at Broome Park (Kent)
